First thing I want you to recognize is that Shakeology is not a Protein Drink.  It is a Nutrient Dense Meal Replacement.  Yes you can use this to supplement your current meal plan or replace an existing meal in your plan.  That being said, your first week of Shakeology can be “trial and error.” Don’t worry – what we are going for is to help you get your recipe down, get your yummy flavor down and experience the effects of how good it
makes your body feel!

How To Get The Consistency You Like For Your Shakeology

  1. For a thinner Shakeology, use more liquid and add more water. Consider trying a Vegan flavor.

  2. For a thicker Shakeology, use less liquid and add more milk alternatives. Freeze dried berries from Trader Joe’s help thicken too.

  3. If your Shakeology seems grainy or chalky: Mix it in your blender, let it sit for 5 minutes, then mix again.

  4. Invest in a good blender! Our favorite and most economical is the Magic Bullet, Nutra Bullet (approx. $100). Of course, the Vitamix is top choice (approx $300)

How to Get Your Shakeology To Taste Like Liquid Gold

  1. Try the recipes in the recipe calendar that came with your order. It took me 6 tries before I discovered how I like to drink Vanilla Shakeology. For more recipes visit: www.shakeology.com

  2. To take the “superfoods/supergreens” after taste away, add nuts! I am told the good ones to add are organic cashews, pecans, hazelnuts, or macadamias.

  3. For chocolate Shakeology, throw in 1/2 a banana, a scoop of nut butter, and some ice. It
    tastes like a peanut butter cup.

  4. For strawberry and tropical Shakeology, use strawberries, pineapple, or mangoes.

  5. For greenberry Shakeology, use frozen fruits and fresh mint or basil or mix with a little orange juice.  

  6. Add a scoop of organic instant coffee, a dash of cinnamon, or freeze dried berries (Trader Joe’s).

  7. Add coffee (liquid and cooled off) to your chocolate Shakeology.

  8. Use unsweetened coconut milk, almond milk, rice milk, hemp milk, or filtered water. Play with it.

When To Drink Shakeology

  1. If you are hungry and super busy in the morning, Shakeology is a fast & convenient way to
    feed yourself.

  2. Drink Shakeology as a post-workout recovery drink.

  3. Drink Shakeology 1 1/2 to 2 hours before your workout.

  4. Drink Shakeology as any meal replacement.

  5. Drink Shakeology as a snack instead of going for a glorified latte, chips or cookies.

  6. Drink Shakeology for dessert if you are craving sweets after dinner.

  7. If your system is used to the superfoods, pre & pro biotics in Shakeology, you have the option
    of having two a day – especially if it helps you from junking out.

How to Get Your Healthy Fats and Leafy Greens Using Shakeology

  1. If you have a hard time eating all of your vegetables, let your daily Shakeology lighten the load! 

  2. Add spinach to any flavor of Shakeology – you can’t taste it.

  3. dd swiss chard or kale to strawberry, vanilla, or greenberry Shakeology.

  4. Add a scoop of coconut oil, 1/4 – 1/2 an avocado, or a TBS of flaxseed oil to get your healthy
    fats in, feed your brain cells, keep your energy up, keep you from going hungry too fast, and help
    curb cravings.
